Screech Owl Greenhouses is an insecticide-free, rainwater-irrigated farm based in Pittsboro. We heat our greenhouses with used motor oil, which allows us to bring you fresh, off-season produce throughout the year! Our greenhouse crops include (but are not limited to) tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers of all kinds, assorted herbs, assorted greens, limes, lemons, and plant starts.

We are on less than two acres but also plant field crops between our greenhouses. Seasonally, we grow potatoes, onions, assorted herbs, eggplant, melons, leeks, beets, radishes, hot peppers, sunchokes, and carrots.

If you are ever in our neck of the woods after 3 PM, come by for the nickel tour! We sell direct from the greenhouses and will show you how to buy available produce any old time you want. Don't forget to say hi (by way of a scritch or a scratch) to our resident mousers, Cali and Belle Pepper.
